What a Start!!
Well, though some of us may have liked the season to start a little sooner, the K-Factor released its fury for all to enjoy. We've been open for two weeks now and have seen nearly 15 feet of snow in that time allowing us to open the entire mountain. Not to be outdone by the sheer volume of snow, the quality has been epic! 20 year pass holders are astonished at how dry the powder is and are quick to boast about there best day ever at Kirkwood! Rosy snow sprayed cheeks accompanied by ear to ear perma-grins have taken over, lifting the overall Kirkwood experience to new highs! Forecasts for the next week aren't offering much more snow with just a chance for an inch or two every couple days. Mild temperatures and relatively calm winds offer a great opportunity too get out and ski or ride with the family before heading back to the grind at the end of the holiday season.

Nice updates.
no updates? how is spring?
I'm looking forward to it! This is the first time I'll have had the time to get out on the slopes in a while. Thanks for the update!
found a sweet camera in the snow!!! email me @ vernostar@gmail to send a description if u lost a camera on saturday dec. 12
it's actually vernostar@me.com not gmail my bad
It's a shame Kirkwood uses such a "helmet Head" on your videos. That guy Coop is Lame. Bad marketing on your half.
I can't watch your videos...60 seconds of some 'tard yapping at me before I get to see one frame of skiing...get it together Kirkwood! The proof is in the footy not your marketing shpeel. I'm gonna go check some other Tahoe resorts vids to see how they do it!
and update your blog for crying out loud, seems like an easy way to connect with the community.
Merry Christmas!
Coming up for a week with a group. Some won't ski every day. Is there WiFi somewhere in the village?
Heading up to the Wood after the powerhouse meltdown. Looking for a fun-filled day.
Nice job getting KMR open in a day!
Also, was wondering if my pass for Sierra that I had to buy yesterday could be exchanged for a free ticket to Kirkwood or at least a reduced tickets. My friends would appreciate that as would I.
How's the power situation today? All lifts running?
And what's your Twitter account? This blog and your website are, well... dated, and your Facebook link appears to be broken.
It would be nice to have some TIMELY updates...
Kirkwood is goin’ off!!! If you have the opportunity to go right now, do it. When the conditions are what they are now, soft winter powder on the whole mountain, with a big base of snow, Kirkwood Mountain resort is one of the best in the Lake Tahoe area. It also can have the biggest base, since storms seem to also hit and sit on Kirkwood’s striking peaks and valley.
When you drive into Kirkwood valley from Hwy. 88, you’ll first find the Timber Creek base area…terrain mainly for beginners and intermediates. Chair 7 from this base, will also take you to Chairs 6 and 5, where the main Mountain Village and Plaza are located.
Chair 5 has mostly intermediate runs and trails: however...(for more visit laketahoehouses.wordpress.com)

Lame, lame, lame. No power, snail paced lifts, Butt F@*k Egypt, and ski patrolers are pass stealing nazis. will be going to Heavenly from now on. At least they have a decent sized well run resort. Kirkwood don't even give free passes when lifts break.
But Coop is the coolest. ha
Coop the Pooper Scooper is soo "cutting edge". Your videos are all the same. Smoke another one!
Cant wait to make it up. Is chair 4 open if not when?
